You were born a ball of energy, a small bundle of infinite potential: a pack of immeasurable possibilities. You were the most amazing person and you acted so. To you everything was possible. You laughed and loved unconditionally. You were not afraid. The world around you began depleting your energies. Your decisions and actions began to be swayed by the external factors rather than internal frames of mind. You began giving up on your authentic powers and yielded to culture fixes and labels. The result is a gross under-utilization of your personal powers. But those powers and possibilities still reside within you. Suppressed, may be, but not displaced.

REFUSE TO SURRENDER YOUR INNER CONVICTIONS IN FAVOUR OF OUTER CONDITIONS. The intimidating realities around you need not suffocate the life and power in your dreams. Fear should not be allowed to suppress the freedom to express the powers within you.

The aspects of your life that are not working show more of lost power than powerlessness. Take charge of how things happen in your life. You cannot afford to go through life sleep walking: you may wake up and find you have run short of life. Awaken to your capabilities and become the consciousness of your personal powers and potential, then boldly and massively live the life you were created to live.

             Refuse to be anything less than all you can be…

At any given time, you are either on top of things, or things are on top of you. You are either making things happen or nothing happens. You are either getting things done, or nothing is done. You have got the power the power to open the doors into reality of your dreams. You have got the power to overcome your current challenges. You have got the power to master the belief systems, emotional intelligence and actions that constitute exceptional living. Awaken to how powerful you are and never again act as if you weren’t. Never shrink from your powers to fit in the helpless cocoons of mediocre living.

YOU WERE BORN FIT FOR LIFE. You were here today because you overcame yesterday. Tomorrow can be better if you deliberately use all the powers within you to develop yourself – your skills, talents and natural abilities. Identify and eliminate anything that saps your energy and enthusiasm to pursue the things you want to posses in your life. YOU HAVE THE POWER TO BE AND DO!

The powers you don’t have are the powers you have given up. Embrace your ability to consciously choose your thoughts, feelings and actions, and you will not have to deal with the draining effects of depression, anxiety and of confusion – characteristics of those who have surrendered their inner powers to outer factors. Decide where your life goes from here. Exit the passenger sit, get behind the steering wheel of your life. Reclaim your power. You have to power design your destiny. DESIGN YOUR DESTINY.

As the famous poem goes “it is not that we are inadequate” The truth is, “we are powerful beyond measure”. Though great, the majority of people live below their powers and function way below their ability. You were placed on earth to HAVE RULE AND DOMINION. Be careful not to lose your powers to the many enticing things that can take rule and dominion over you and prevent you from exercising your true genius.

WHY? Why be a victim when you have the power to create victory? Why be an effect, when you can be the cause? Why survive when you have the power to thrive? You have the power to chart the cause of your life. Follow Nike’s brilliant advice: JUST DO IT!

Never reach a point where you feel helpless; that other people were lucky and you were not. Always remember:

There are no unimportant people, only people who feel unimportant. Don’t be like them…

There are no insignificant people, only people who feel insignificant. Don’t be like them…

There are no ‘lesser’ people, only people who feel ‘lesser’. Don’t be like them…

There is none born great, only people who have tapped into their innate greatness. Be like them…

There is none born extraordinary, only people who have gone that extra mile, made that extra effort. Be like them…

There is none born powerful, only people who have discovered and developed their potential. Be like them…

There is none born special, only people who are committed to excellence in service. Be like them…

There is none born exceptional, only people who accepted themselves and specialized in their uniqueness, despite their weaknesses. Be like them…

There is none born lucky, only people who have worked hard. Be like them…

 

Refuse to walk in the darkness of the illusion that you are powerless. The greatest among us have only but scratched the surface of their potential. As Abraham Maslow says, “The history of mankind is a history of people selling themselves short.”

I remember one evening when the sky above Turkana burned slowly into dusk, the sun dissolving into a red wound over the horizon.
